ZJAvy--you nailed it when you said "true 1%ers do what they want and are in no way law abiding citizens." That is why I am saying that these nice guys that we occasionally run into may call themselves 1%'s but they are not 1%'s by the original definition. Agreed?

Denim, your right, I agree with you. The problem is your point is about 2 inches taller then everyone arguing with you. If you have had good experiences with 1% its because it suited them, nothing more. I've ridden with the Choir Boys, that makes for an interesting day when a 1% club rolls in and your with them.
If you want to know what its like to be around a 1% club read a great book called "UNDER AND ALONE" completely true story, or read Sonny Bargers book on the Hells Angels, these will give you some great views on a couple of these clubs by both perspectives, the laws perspective and a founders perspective. Both are great reads and well worth your time. You can argue up and down all you want that 1%'s are great people but all your doing is arguing to make yourself look cool or possibly arguing trying to make it right in your head that night you hung out with them, I dont know, nor do I care. True 1%s do what they want when they want and are in no way law abiding citizens.
agreed! and damn we all are guilty of hijacking this thread, LOL. BTW for a bunch of bikers everyone here has some pretty thin skin crying out "Im offended" over everything. That alone is too funny.
Ya, are real bikers supposed to have "hissy fits"? And about hijacking the thread---What was the original topic again???

Something about why do people join MC clubs: I joined to have an organized bunch of people to ride with on a week to week basis as well put togethor benefit rides.
The 1% was purely created by the AMA. So go back to that press release and get the "TRUE DEFINITION." I do know some 1% personally. One is a business owner himself. Nice guy but not one I would cross. The only reason he's nice to me is he has no reason not to be. Not because he has morals or respect for the law. Point of fact, Hells Angels are one of the largest distributors of Meth in the southwest. Most important thing to remember about 1%ers....they don't get that patch by hosting a bake sale or going to church. They earn their colors. Any "true 1%ers" want to talk about what it took to get in? I dare ya to give a no-holds barred reply to that one. Again, I do know what it takes for one club.
The AMA wrote an article in their magazine, shortly after this stating, â99% of all of their members are law-abiding citizens and only 1% are âoutlawââ. This then, began what is today known as Outlaw Motorcycle Clubs and one percenters.

Lets dont go there. This thread has danced on the edge of what is right and what is wrong already. The 1% clubs are sacred. Thats what makes them what they are. Please, let's dont cheapen it by airing any dirty laundry like that. Not blaming you 4merRacer....just trying to discourage any answers to your query......
I garuntee that wasnt for the sake of the little old lady as much as it was for making you do whatever it was they told you as a prospect. Remind me to look up the right way to spell GARUNTEE after this.
Guarantee or Guaranty, both are correct--Weird huh?
