E85 is cheaper to run in race cars
jack up compreation more timmingand a little richer mixture
just like alcohal leave it long enough it will eat old ford carbs like 97'S
90% of the time I run ethanol free premium in my bike. I stored my bike for winter and had to rebuild the carbs in spring with 10% ethanol, won't do that again. My Stihl weed wacker fuel line melted, mechanic said it was from ethanol, had to replace. Mileage sucks with it. Hate it. Not any cheaper either. More government/special interest interference in marketplace.

Did you run preamium 93 this is impirtant look at your owners manual
always use stable marine if possable it keeps fuel longer
how old is it the fuel lines do rot out in time ( i owne Sthil ) even with oue eathanol cheap non synthetic oil softens the rubber
i do not care for it but that is what we have
now on goverment special interest groups that is our falt yes we the voters
we let them go and run us many years ago
to many people do not vote because they do not like the people running
( That is a vote for the other side)
Don't take this the wrong way but ethaol doesn't gum up.
If it does get water in it it will turn milky.
I decide to test how much water it absorbs so I've had some sitting in a open jug for 4 years.
No water.
My street/strip car sat for 6 months with E85 sitting in the carb and tank fired right up and ran the tank out.
Didn't take it the wrong way at all. All i know is that on one deployment after running pure gas through it, it fired right up after 6 months. On the next deployment i had been running 10% ethanol through it and it wouldn't fire up. Got the carb cleaned out and worked fine. I don't know the specifics behind the ethanol stuff but I still don't like it. My ATV, my dad's bike, the fuel mileage in my truck. That's enough for me to not wanna touch it. I"ll pay the few cents extra to get real gas.
I've been running E-free premium in my CARBED Fatty for a couple months--no change in power, but my gas mileage went up considerably, and my bike seems to run much cooler. I dunno, maybe it's psychological.

I definitely see a mileage improvement in both my car and my bike when I use the Ethanol free premium, to the tune of about 10%. I always use premium, whether it has ethanol or not.
You have to drive a good 50 miles out of Milwaukee to get the Ethanol free stuff, and the stations close to the "border zone" charge a premium for it, sometimes 20 cents more per gallon than they should.
Makes sense that ethanol free would produce better mileage since ethanol has lower stored energy per gallon than gasoline.
Ethanol in Gas is not good, it collects moisture. We work on boat motors and it eats up hoses, orings. Causes more carbon build up.
It starts droppin octaine rating with weeks.
Ethanol should of never been put in gas.
