Default Kidney belt
Does anyone ride with a kidney belt? I rode this saturday a couple hundred miles and my lower back & kidneys took a beating.

Yes, I bought one through JP and it has bracing for the lower back and works wonders on longer rides. Then changed out my stock deluxe seat to a sundowner and with the additional lower back support that seat offers I can stay in the saddle much longer now.

My FXRG jacket has one, and it definitely makes a difference over when I wear my mesh that doesn't have one.

It tends to hold you upright, keeps you from slumping down in your seat so prevents some stress on the lower back.

wore one alot befor the Ultra came into the Pic.
it was a neccesity during my motocross days

My lower back is a little bit punk, so I wear a black cordura stiff weight lifters belt w/velcro cinch when I kayak and it is like having a chair back... just great. The ultra is pretty good without it but on a long ride it does help there too, I've noticed.

Kevco-Stubbs makes a good one that is made of good elastic and velcro. Works good to extend long rides and relieve lower back fatigue. It is thin enough to put on and then buckle you pants over the bottom of it instead of trying to tighten ovet belt and jeans, good feature. Think these are made for moto-cross.

yes I wear one on longer rides, it really helps. its always rolled up in my saddle bag.
