Does anyone know what year the last 100% American made HD model was produced ?

Wow. Good question. Early 70s or so maybe with Bendix carbs? I don't know about electrics. Could it be earlier?

No idea at all. I was gonna guess early 70's as well. Google doesn't seem to know.

100%!?? Know it was some time shortly after 1903

If you are talking about all the way down to the raw materials, I'd say probably never.
I'm going to go with grf000's answer,shortly after 1903.

Harley started using Japan made front forks in 1973 on sportsters for sure and maybe on other models as well. Maybe 1972 was the last year? Of course Harley may have been using electrical stuff from japan before that.

According to these guys you can pretty much have an 100% American made Harley if you bought everything from their catalog.....
