About 3 weeks ago 3 of us stopped at a restaurant for lunch. When we came out the battery in my son's Ultra died and it was only a stroke of luck that the bike finally started. Rode to a dealer and had a new battery installed and the problem has not recurred.
Yesterday 4 of us stopped at the same restaurant for lunch and when we came out once again my son's Ultra would not start. Had lights and fuel pump would prime but could not get the engine to start. He called HOG roadside assistance and they were going to send a tow. I mentioned that he might try moving the shift lever and voila..........the bike started right up. Must have been caught between gears or something. Kind of odd that twice in the same parking lot my son's bike wouldn't start.
BTW. HOG roadside assistance was able to tell exactly where we were from my son's cell phone signal. Even gave the correct address on a busy street lined with businesses.
Personally, if the food is really good, I'd keep having the son go with you. As long as the gremlins are messing with his bike, they won't mess with yours.
