Is it worth a 2,000 mile ride round trip to Digby, Nova Scotia?

I go every year, not going this year.

I went last year and im going this year. less than 400 mile round trip for me. I dont think i would do a 2000 mile round trip for Digby.

What route do you take from Halifax to Digby?
I'm beginning to think I'll spend a week touring Nova Scotia just for the ride away from work, & use the rally as an off the bike rest day.
Can anyone recommend an inexpensive, biker friendly motel/hotel in NS to use as a base camp?

We did NS last year...what a ride and ended up at the Rally for a few days...I would do it again...good food, friendly people and just a great ride all the way around.
