The Deuce I just got this week came with a very small windshield. It's maybe a foot tall and wide. The dealer told me it would provide "some" wind coverage. I think it looks pretty cool, but I have been getting a lot of questions about it. Like, why even bother having such a small shield? Is it just to provide protection to the tachometer behind it? Or does it do a decent job deflecting the wind/debris from the driver? I don't really have an answer for they yet. I tried to google around for a product description, but I haven't found anything yet. What do you think?
FYI, I haven't ridden it enough yet to notice if the shield helps much. I guess I should take it off and do a comparison. But I figure some here would know
My windshield is about 15" tall, it's small...a Slipstream Spitfire. You can Google it for pics. Can be taken off, or put back on, in under 20 seconds.
I like it, makes a difference on longer highway rides. Less air hitting your center mass/stomach/chest area. Less fatigue on your back and arms. Or during spring bug season. Other times....lots of backroads riding or around town, I pull it off.
*edit* And to answer your question about deflecting stuff...yes even the mini windshields will deflect things. On the highway when I have it on I see and hear little things hit it and deflect off to the side, or up over your head. Means less "dings" in your face.

Do you get these questions from people who don't ride motorcycles? I'd think those that do would already know the difference that anything you put out in front can make in wind resistence. The windshield isn't a substitute for glasses, it breaks the wind off your body.
