Hey when did harley start putting cats in there exhaust,also,
did they first put the cats in the mufflers and then later the
head pipes?
Hey at least it isn't a thread about gutting the pipes or Will
my bike run cooler if I gut the dang thing

Softails started in 2010 in the muffler. Not sure what year but I think the baggers started off in the head pipe.

Pretty sure the last carbed bikes in the 90's had cats in California only...I have a mag where they cut one open to see what was in it ...after they couldn't get any air to flow though it on a flow bench.

I still seen one (CAT) in the Hood last week, will someone come and intall it in theirs pipes.

The cats run back to the 2000's for sure on the Road Kings.
