Maybe you're called Village Idiot because of your writing skills, but it sure looks like you want to put on Ohlins shocks and then do the hand controls in a matching color, based on your whole post.
I worked with Howard at motorcyclemetal.com. When it comes to suspension, I've never talked with anyone more knowledgeable.
As for price Ohlins offers a number of models of rear shocks. The ones I went with are on the high side of the price spectrum, something around $1250 or $1450, I think. The fork cartridges were around $1000. Not inexpensive, but they are custom made to fit my specs and the ride (performance and comfort) is pretty awesome.
