I was just wondering who hangs on to their bike and what you did to it or how many times have you rebuilt it? Mine is not very fancy, but she's a good rider. Had her for 18 years.

Owned the same 65 FLH since October of 1970 (I am the second owner). During that time there were also a couple of Sportys (one stock, one chopped), a 51 pan (chopped) that I hung onto for 18 years and a 56 pan (also chopped) I kept for about 8 years. The 65 is stripped down to the basics with just the fiberglass bags. Have almost all the original parts I took off though.
Bottom end of the 65 has been apart 2X and the top end 3X. Gone through the usual chains, gaskets, gears, seals and tires. Never left me stranded. Been as far east as Kentucky. To this point only one other person has ever laid a wrench to her other than me.
Picked up my 84 FLH to take the load off the 65 and so that I could finally get around to taking her back to her 1965 glory days. I am the second owner of the 84 as well.
Had a 77 FLH for years, sold it and then got an 05 FXD last September just to see how I would like it. I liked it fine, but it didn't like me that much, so traded it in on an 09 RKC that I've now had for exactly 1 month today.
88 FLHTC Her name is the old iron bitch!
Re built the motor, replace all bearings for wheels neck etc. New sprockets, belt all new brakes, tons of wax & this is my 4th year with this sled. It rocks!!
