No its not true, but everything for a 07 will be 50 state EPA compliant including download maps so buying one is a waste on money, get a PCIII and wake that baby up.

I agree with gunrunner, put a pcIII on that baby and get it to a dyno guy asap.

Gunrunner may be correct about the EPA, but thats what tuners (not the dealer) are for, they can make your bike run the way you want it to, its not going to be worthless.

I've got the SERT on my 07 RKC and there's nothing EPA compliant about it. The canned downloads for the ECM are EPA compliant but those are loaded straight into the ECM. With the SERT, you can tune to your heart's content.

[sm=exactly.gif] what he said. Only the canned dowloads are EPA. The SERT is completely different and really is the best tuning device in the hands of someone who knows what they are doing and it doesn't stay in bike like the PCIII does, it is only used to program the ECM. I just ordered the most current CD for it which I think should be a free upgrade but this is of course the MOCO so nothing is free.

Provided you can get your dealer to bypass the new regs. that are for 07 and up, mine won't. They will sell you a sert and install any of the street legal downloads or dyno tune within the epa guidelines but will not "race tune" a 07. Its dumb because they will 06 and back, but they say the new EPA guidelines have their hands tied.
