I have an open AC on my Road King and the only problems I've ever had were when I was stuck in stop and go traffic for 1 1/2 hours in the middle of what you might call a toad strangler. Bike never stopped running but if I would try to go anywhere above 1/4 throttle it would start cutting out so accelerating was interesting. That was with the Harley rain sock. Other than that I've been in downpours and as long as I kept moving it ran fine.
