The 7 year itch and wait is over--I finally pulled the trigger and own a Harley--2008 105th Soft tail Custom. Anyone care to give me solid advice besides that I should have bought a different model LOL
I'm so excited I can't stand it.
I had 2 Softail Customs (both Evos) and wish I never sold 'em. Best lookin' profile of any Harley, and I love the 105th colors. Had a 105th Superglide.
Advice? Just 3 things I would do:
1. Install a Screamin' Eagle Hi-flo air cleaner (looks stock from your pic) & do a race tune with a dyno run--you will be amazed at the horsepower, torque, and ridability gain. Not to mention how much cooler it will run. And with the pipes you have, it's a good idea, too. Better for your motor.
2. If you ride mostly solo, and it isn't already done (hard to tell with the bags) have it lowered. Nothin' says "RIGHTEOUS" like a lowered FX Softail.
3. Dump the fugly SofCustom seat, with that horrible brown stripe, for a Badlander, a solo, or other custom seat. Keep the stocker for long trips.
