At 6' tall, I found the floorboards in the mid position somewhat awkward/uncomfortable, particularly when shifting. Forward controls feel more more comfortable to me.

Don't feel bad. It's a new phrase to me too. I just never asked. But having Ben away from bikes for 30+ years, there's way more terms and crap I don't know...like remap. Never heard of it until I got my bike and mentioned different pipes.
