Both, but I obviously know that most of the work is being done by the front brake. I modulate my deceleration with the rear.

At v-e-r-y slow speeds, I just use the rear to allow the bars to turn easily.

Both when stoping in a straight line. Just before coming to a stop release most of the front and stay on the rear to keep from diving the front end. Slowing down before making a turn; as soon as I begin the turn (not curve) I release the front, maybe use a little rear to keep level then totally release rear break before I get to where I'm turing into. Sometimes, when I am lightly applying the rear break I am in gear. It is the fastest way I know how to negotiate a turn. I just want to execute it as quickly as possible to prevent a cage from rear ending me into oblivion. In a curve sometimes the rear break if I blow my set up; never the front. Hard to explain but my main goal is to be ready for anything.
