I guess the moral of the story here is, if you trade your bike in, remove all your expensive add ons, return the bike to stock, and sell the parts in the classifieds section.

I boght both my bikes from same dealer. Anout 6 mths later I traded nightster for the SG. He knew what I was riding, pulled around back and deal was done. Didnt do much but walk around it. Figured they knew I took care of it, etc.

The less a dealer looks over your trade, the less chance they will find something to negotiate over, so good for you. It is strange that they didn't check the mileage. I guess they eventually did that so the paperwork is accurate. You don't need an odometer dispute down the road.

He's too busy out riding. Weather here is great.

Judging from his avatar, he either had a RKC, or now has a RKC. Hopefully, he traded up.

When I traded in my Sportster on the Heritage, they never started the bike. My best guess is because the salesman watched me ride it into the dealership...
