Well....after 1.5 years of owning my Deluxe, I decided to see if I could get a good deal on trading it in on a Big Blue Pearl Street Glide. So I went to a couple of dealers in the area and I ended up going with the dealer about 6 miles from my house. I test rode one and I have to say, the music and the super smooth ride sold me! They ended up giving me what I wanted on trade for my bike and they gave me a great deal on the SG. The sales guy I was working with came in on his day off to work the deal! I can't say enough good things about City Limits Harley!
I had a trip to Vegas planned since April and I really want to NOT go to Vegas...thats how anxious I am to get this thing. They have to get it to the dealer, uncrate it and set it up, so it won't be ready until Saturday, but I'm gone until Sunday night. They have "winter hours" so I don't get it until Tuesday.
Congrats! I think there will come a day when I'll have to trade my Road King in for a Deluxe. For now though the smoothness of the touring bikes is unbeatable.
Its a different feel. You're "on" the Glide, you're "in" the Deluxe. Either way....I've been wanting one really bad since I rode a friends on 4th of July weekend, the deal had to be right in order for me to do it...
Congrats. I'm envious of that feeling you get waiting to pick it up. Same I had with my RK, and I remember the feeling buying my first brand new car, and waiting to go pick it up off the showroom floor. Might have to trade in my '02 on a new one just for that feeling again. LOL.
Very anxious to see some pics, as I LOVE blue. I want to do a bike with blue and black. Just love them together. Congrats again, and enjoy!
Hate to see you leave the softail family, but congrats on the new SG. Enjoy.
I'll be back....when I can afford 2! I think the next Softail I'm going to buy is a Night Train.

The best two tone ever would be big blue pearl in black!
