If it was the dealer you bought it from that told you that then it makes since why you heard it. I trust my dealer a little more than that but you just never know. I am a stickler for details. If they told me that and then I found out they didn't tell the WHOLE truth then I can drive the same distance to another dealer and never grace the originals door again.

Absolutely, I will be taking my bike for service and warranty to another dealer.
As someone mention, I called the dealer in whom I have heard some good things about. They told me there would be no problem. All is well!!
I did find out that my Ext. Warranty is a HD warranty.

I had a problem with the wrench at the 1k service, Then later I had a talk with the salesman, head salesman and GM, got things worked out and now I tell them when I take my bike in for work, which is seldom, who works on it.
