Default Extended Warranty

I purchased a 5yr. extened warranty from my local dealer. Since then, I have lost confidence in the service department.

Do you know, if I can transfer my extened warranty to another dealer that I have more confidence in?

Thanks

I think your extended warranty is good at any HD dealer.

You are right, maybe it's not an issue at all, but I was told they prefer for you to go to the purchasing dealer.

Of course, that is just here say.

I am going to call Harley's customer service and ask them.

I just didn't know that maybe someone on the forum has had experience with this specific issue.

Thanks a bunch for your reply!

instead of calling harley's customer service, why don't you call the dealer that you are contemplating frequenting and ask them if there would be any issues with your extended warranty?

My understanding is the Extended Warranty is good at ANY Dealership. But be careful. Did you buy a Dealer Specific Service Plan or the Extended Warranty from MoCo? When I bought my new bike all the Dealer wanted to push at me was HIS Extended Service Plan. Never even mentioned the Extended Warranty plans......I wanted neither.

the extended warr. is good at any shop, not just the dealer, you can go to an independent if you want. the extended warr is not through harley davidson, they sell them but it is a private company that executes the claims

Yeah, it would suck to be stuck out on the road and have to get back to the original dealer just so the warranty would work. It's good everywhere.

Echo what the others have said. It is good at ANY dealer. Was not aware that it could be used at an Indy. I will have to ask my Indy about that. He used to own the dealership I bought mine at many years ago. He even has a dealer ID. He did my 1K service and signed off in my owners manual.

I believe it's a genuine HD's Warranty, but not 100%. I need to verify that!

Thanks
