I have these. Very warm and removable insulated lining. Price was right also.

Black buttons and zippers make for a better look than silver.

I just sold 1 of my 2 pairs. They may have a grain, or a very subtle one. Also, I prefer a sewn, very small cuff rather than just being cut at the bottom.

Don't get baggy ones, they look absolutely ridiculous.

Also, if you try them on, wear the pants/belt you would normally wear riding. Having one belt over another one isn't so good.

Don't get the ones with the Velcro closure at the bottom. I changed mine out to snaps. double thick cowhide with extra thickness onteh knees. Adjustable belt at the back ...because you WILL gain weight eventually.

I just have a pair of cheap chaps that I bought four years ago when I first got into riding. I had no clue as to what I should look for. This pair is made of a single layer of leather and aren't lined.

Other then on hot summer days, these things are useless! My legs are actually colder when wearing these things. The leather gets cold and stays cold, so for these colder months, I'm wearing long-johns under my jeans and leave the chaps at home .

I'm going to have to invest in some lined chaps for next year, if they have them where you can remove the liners when needed would be a great feature.

I have a pair of HD chaps that have reflective stripes on them and zipper thigh vents for hot days. Really some useful protective gear.

Yep, I went from a 29 inch waist size in high school to a 31 inch waist size 36 years later.

+1 on LeatherUp. Great quality, low prices. Thinsulate lining in thighs. Heavy leather. Great product!

Personally I'd rather wear full leather than having my **** hanging out waiting to be ripped up. And so I lead you to my choice by Fox Creek, full length zippers down each leg so you can put them on and whip them off damn fast with no worries about your boots.

True, chaps are not exactly ideal crash protection by design.
