I've got a dead set of heated grips, without a fairing I think heated grips are too ineffective. That's why I have not and do not intend to replace them. Heated gloves can be a PIA, but are much more effective!

A couple friends with HD heated grips had problems with them shorting out. Both ditched the grips and moved to Gerbing heated gloves. Ironically, the heated grips on my BMW have worked flawlessly since I bought the bike in 2000.

HD grip do suck. I'm on my forth pair. Only get them replaced cause their still under warranty. But I do know HD has come up with a version B and recently a version C. But do you think HD will let you know what they have updated on the grips? NOPE.

I just had Heat Demon heated grips installed. They SUCK....They are lukewarm at best.

My Heat Demons were defective!....replaced free . they should be ok now.

I heard HD had an issue with their controller burning out. So this update probably addressed that issue. I bought some grips yesterday. I hope they're the updated set...

Got the factory heated grips that came on my 2011 Ultra Limited. They Rock.
They work great and have for two winters. Couldn't ask for them to work any better.
Got a 5 yr extended warranty on my bike.
If I have a problem, I get new grips.
