Forget the dealer, whats the difference between 2 car dealers selling the same car? Check them out, you'll get a different price on each one. It's the buyer who should be making the decision.

Also when I've bought stuff from Dealers over here, I've never payed what they ask, I always get at least 20% off, Although knowing Lincoln Harley, you've got no chance of that., I had a bad experience with them
just to second what lawnmowerman says, when i need part(s) i find the part number & ring a few dealers & tell them im ringing around looking for the best price on said part & generally i get 20/25% off. that % when totalled to Ł can save you a fair bit of money.

then when you bought off them once, next time you ring them for something you can tell them you are coming back to them because last time you got 25% off

It is a long standing part of the two way franchise agreement. For their investment the dealer's get a protected area. When the economy was good no one bitched.

Now that it matters it is the Dealer's that requested HD to enforce the contractual obligations that is their part of the agreements.

That is all that they are doing.

Most dealers want the protection for their wallets.

It can not be farther off the mark to say that it is price fixing. The issue has nothing to do with the price. It is can one franchised dealer sell in another dealer's market. Answer is NO!

I will make a prediction. The dealer that brought the suit will be out of business within two years. If the dealer violates the contract, the dealer will "VOID" his franchise agreement. That would be a hoot!
