I can only hope that somehow the decision to not allow dealers to sell new parts outside of their territory gets reversed. I will not purchase parts at my local dealer as they have lost my business on more than one occassion. Getting my parts through other dealers online has become my source. Come Jan. 1st, I will have to find a new way as I refuse to give my local dealer any money, unless this lawsuit has a different outcome.
I agree that the Harley policies need to change. This is now the 21st century and they need to keep up with the times. Not allowing dealers to market things on 3rd party sites such as Ebay is just not right. Internet sales are a big business these days. Competition is what makes the world go around in these times. If that makes a dealership go out of business, so be it. Most folks stick to Harley's because even though the parts are not all american made, at least they are assembled in the US and the profits stay here. I live in between 2 dealers and both are about 50 miles away so I rely on the internet for most of my parts. Paying shipping charges is cheaper than the fuel cost of gas for a round trip. Since my local dealers do not do business online, they don't get my parts business. I asked them once about price matching on parts, they just laughed.

Andy, Although I posted the link, I dont for one minute think that it'll be a problem getting bits sent over here. money talks and theres always someone who will sell you waht you want.
Also when I've bought stuff from Dealers over here, I've never payed what they ask, I always get at least 20% off, Although knowing Lincoln Harley, you've got no chance of that., I had a bad experience with them
