The brakes on my Ultra, two finger stopping with confidence, second to none, the brakes on my Deuce, a nice description of them (next to the Ultra esp), is "wooden". Not real good, not progressive, not bad, and not a sales point either way. My experience was that for many years, Harley brakes were not a sales point, but later Harleys are equal to current offerings, and the Brembos are an excellent setup, ABS or not. It has surprised me that more Harleys don't come with dual discs on a fairly heavy bike. It seems to be a style vs practical application where dual discs are applied. Examples, CVO Deuce had 'em, Touring styled Switchback, does not, Fatbob has 'em, Heritage Classic, a softail tourer, does not... That said, I don't think brakes are a decision point on a modern cruiser bike anymore, unless it is ABS vs non ABS

I have never had a problem with H-D brakes. Do you really think that the MoCo would see bikes that don't stop?

After spending most of the 70's with drum brakes and sometimes only one of those any disk setup is a lovely thing don't care who made it . It's all about the pad & rotor materials if you want to really dial it down tight for the performance minded riders .
