Towed my bike home one night(flat) I like having that option when i need it. The tow truck came with a channel to roll the bike onto...a professional set up just for bikes. I was glad i had the Hog Card.........no charge

It is odd I never see a group of Hog riders with non HOG wearing people in the group. I guess some folks just have to have a group of people with them.
About the statement made by RoaringRigid. I ride with the HOG chapter, but not with the HOG patches. And I am not alone. There are others too. And I have worn my HOG jacket at runs. Like the Laughlin River Run. That is Not a HOG rally.

I have one wind breaker that is just for HOG. It has the big HOG back patch and is covered by the year patches. I sometimes wear it during a HOG National or Local event. But most of the time, I just wear my old Club cut. I left the M/C that I was a member and just took the colors off. I still have the same name and city patch on the front. But no HOG club pin or patch. I have a shoe box in the closet full of run pins. I just don't put them on my cut.

I have been a HOG member from when HOG formed in 1983. I have seen it grow up and off the route from the start.
I have been in the local chapters off and on several times. Over the years, I have helped start two local chapters too. Right now, I am a member of a local chapter. I joined for the local runs and parties. I don't go to most, but only when I want to ride with someone else. Most of the time I ride alone.

As a National member, I enjoy the HOG magazine and some National Runs. I really like only the "Rolling Rallies". And as stated in previous posts, I enjoy the 17% discount on my ATT Cell Phone bill. I have the Best Western Card and sometimes stay at them too.

I enjoy riding in groups on runs. If I wasnt in a club with friends already, I would likely look to joining h.o.g. for more group riding experiences.

They got me on the motorcycle. They got me on the parts. They got me on the accessories. Thank God I'm with Sprint and Geico will tow my bike.

Both my wife and I are National HOG members as well as members of our local chapter.

We take advantage of many discounts that are available to National HOG members that have saved us and continue to save us many times over what the memberships cost.

As for local HOG chapters I can only comment on the local ones to us and they have given us a lot of enjoyment from the dinner rides to some of the overnight chapter rides to other areas. BTW we have a lot of members that wear all the HOG Patches and a lot of members that don't... As for me I have several vests including a HOG vest but usually wear my POW/MIA members vest unless I'm riding in an official capacity (I'm a road captain for my chapter) on a HOG chapter ride..

I've been a member since I got my Ultra and I don't like big group rides.

Both my wife and I are members and have attended a few local meetings and rides. The dealer is 100 miles from where I live so we do not go often. Still I keep the national for the roadside assistance and the local is only $10 so I figure if I get a couple of free meals out of it at a meeting or two, I made my money back.

I am a national member, but don't ride with a local chapter. I like the purty patches which I keep in a plastic bag on my closet shelf.
