You should call a lawyer and ask them what they think they can do for you. Yeah you would have to give them a cut of what you get back, but you have a case against these fly by night ripoffs. Although this may bankrupt them.

At this point, since you've discovered that not only was the work performed sub par, you've also found that the shop lied to you about what was actually done. They committed fraud by charging you for a 107" motor which they never provided. By misrepresenting the work done, the shop may have exposed themselves to a criminal charge.

I would ask for (demand?) a full refund. If they are unwilling, it sure sounds like you have a legitimate claim, civil and criminal, and you should sue them to recover your money.

Keep all your receipts and document everything. As the amount of your claim likely exceeds the small claims limit, ask around and hire a decent lawyer and get some good advice. Also if it was me, I would definitely not let them touch the bike any further. Good luck.

My bike catches fire at a gas station, of all places! the fire burns the air lines to my front suspension leaving me with no suspension to ride 300 miles home. Riding down i had an annoying flickering oil light, clunking tin can noises and fuses blowing left and right.
when i confronted the shop owner regarding the issues he said, just bring it in and we will look at it. After i got it home, i was curious to see what the noise was, come to find they never used the brackets to fasten the NOS system to the bike ( this was the clunking noise all the way down) I called them and asked " where are the brackets to the NOS system"? he said here in the box, my reply "why are they in the box?" his answer, oh they were not really needed.......Huh?

After looking deeper, I find the NOS (Nitrous) wires were no protected of shrink wrapped thus causing the short and fire.

I had some work done by a local shop and boy what a mistake that was...... i paid them over $7000.00 to do some modifications on my 2004 Road King, the work consisted of the following:
Stretched neck , wiring, NOS system, motor upgrade kit, suspension and accessories.

After reviewing my receipts ( because of the issues at hand) we decided to call Revolution (where the shop purchased the 107" kit) come to find they do not make a 107" bolt on kit for my year bike. So i was tricked into thinking I had paid for a 107" kit (after all it says it on my receipt) what am I to know, I am only a HD rider not a mechanic. Revolution stated that the only way to make this work on your bike as a 107" is to perform work on the crank, this was never done by the shop i went to.

Now the bike is down every other day, the motor is making all kinds of noise, blow by oil is everywhere, shorts and fuses popping still haunt me and i dont even know what the actual size of the motor is.

I have brought the bike back 3 times, they never fix the problems but keep charging me.... I know i am a bit stupid for returning to them but i spent so much money, now there way out is "sorry we cant make you happy and lets part ways"

It is really heart breaking to spend over $7000 and now have to tell my wife that it was a waste of money and needs to be redone.

I am just venting, dont know what to do about this. I have all my receipts stating 107" How can they say its a 107" and also how can they install it when they did not do the work that Revolution says absolutely needs to be done??

Here are some photos of the problems we documented:

this photo is a lowering kit they installed with washers:

this is a photo of the crimped air hose to suspension:

Thanks for letting me vent, I wish I had a lot of money to file a law suit..... I guess they got me on this one.

Thanks again for listening.

Why not just start over with a crate 120, get it installed by a rep dealer, scrap the NOS (clearly you are over your head with this type of mod) and stop throwing money at a bad shop. This should be a good lesson to research your mods before you pay somebody to do something. You should have known before the indy started what was involved with putting a 107crate in an 04 (you found this out by calling revolution after the fact). A little education goes a long way before letting somebody hack on your bike

you should call a few layers.the consultation should be free.that shop saw you coming and wasn't capable of doing the job, that you paid enough for a second bike for..that is what lawsuits are for.the shop didn't do what they were paid for, ruined your bike, and will do it again if given the chance..
