Seems the question can be classified underneath the answer of why 60 mph Pizza is only good for 45 mph. (w/o bungies of coarse) I've tried it! At exactly 46 mph the areodynamics of a Pizza in a box seem to hit what is likened to the sound barrier.
Thusforth very carefully!
if it wont fit in my pocket, it dont go on the bike with me, well excpt for my girl, lol
i can when i have to balance a 12 pack of longnecks across my legs and the tank, for the 4 blocks it takes to get home.
yeah, you'd be suprised what a set of bungies can accomplish (I keep a set on my dyna and my RK) I use a few stock locations to hold the bungies as well as a few custom anchor points too. I also keep a hoodie balled up incase the weather drops while I'm out but I also use it to wrap stuff if I pick anything up.
I always use a backpack. Stuffed many things in my shirt. 2 litre soda, pizza's, oil, parts, ect. There was one time coming home from the stealer when I picked up a gas cap, stuffed it in my shirt and lost it on the interstate.
Thrown a case of beer on my lap several times(20+ times).....The girls at the store always got a kick out of it.
Another time I had a golf outing & the truck was broke down.......Put the strap around my shoulders, (with the strap diaganol on my chest & clubs diaganol across my back just like I was caddying a game), and rode the 15 or so miles to the course.
The GF got tired of not being able to take her purse and got her, or I mean me, some throw over saddle bags.
I was faced with one... went to my sisters house n my 8 yr old niece was home with her friends...Neighbor down the street was watching them from her house. I did not go in the house, it was dark and all these little kids. So I went to MC Ds and got the 6 pc chicken nuggets... 5 of them. Little did I know these are happy meals. So I have 5 happy meals and my harley. I took the plastic wrap from the juice box case, tied one bag of HMs on the luggage rack. and took one of their bigger plastic bags and tied the other on the back seat... what did I have? The happy meal harley! SO I get back, fed my niece and her friends and called my sister. Needless to say, she was NOT supposed to be in the house, neighbor was supposed to be watching them. OH BOY did I get her lil butt in trouble. The neighbor is not trusted now, and well, my niece got a punishment.... When in doubt give trash a shout. One of the workers had that plastic from the juice boxes in her hand just about to toss it out. Worked flawlessly for the 3 or 4 miles I had to ride.
I have on many occasions looked on the ground and came up with something to use. Especially when I was towing junk cars. Amazing what a little ingenuity and redneck engineering can do!
