You'll need to ride each, the steering on the RK is set up different, lean angle is different also. My buddy scraps his floorboards much more than I do.

If you're riding a Deluxe I don't see the Heritage as being step up. However, the RKC would be.
If you want to question your sexuality then get the softail. Conchos, studs, booby tassles, and frills sure make you look like a man.

Good for you! Why would anyone equate sexuality with the choice of bikes??? I've always had a very good experience with "Booby Tassels"
Anyway...The Heritage is an undeniably comfortable bike and if you've been riding a Deluxe the RK is going to feel very different. That said, and I rolled out of a Heritage into a Street Glide, there is no comparison in the ride over the long haul... the King's got it all over the Herritage. I've struggled to find a comfortable seat on my Glide but that has more to do with my butt than the bike. If you ride 2 up with any regularity the King will not only be more comfortable for the passenger but better handling as the rider.
I had a little panicked buyers remorse because of how different the Glide felt, but it was just different...not worse.
