There are reciprocal states that honor licenses from other states.
I carry a G22 CCW and a zero tolerance folder. clipped to front pocket 1 is a a firearm one is a tool. Sometimes the tool can be a better SD weapon than the firearm.
There are situations where even though you are carrying a pocket or other knife may be a better choice to defend yourself. It is up to you to know the difference.
I vote carry a KaBar like the dude on SOA carries. That would be so cool.
Just kidding.... check your local laws on knives nothing said on this forum is equal to you checking on things that will keep you out of prison. That is your responsibility.
Personally I think carrying a big ole honkin knife in a sheath is a bit stupid.
I can see that. Generally, a big guy on a big Harley would not be someone you'd want to mess with either way, I'd think.
Why? Riding a Harley doesn't give anyone any special kung fu skills. Being big doesn't mean you can handle yourself. Being big with no aerobic ability or out of shape just means you are a huffing puffing sweaty mess while someone stomps your ***.
My 46 yrs of life have taught me that staying away from situations are the number 1 best way to be safe. And failing that stay in good shape (running, biking, swimming, upper body)and try to learn how to do whatever is necessary to GTFO of there.
Mr.Tank25. We carry knifes in Texas from birth. The older we get the larger the knife. We really do not care what the government thinks. Thank you for inquiring.
What? That makes no sense at all. You are protecting our rights. But. You cannot exercise those rights? The world is up side down.
No its called the USMJ when you serve you are basically living in a dictatorship.
However if he lived off base he would be allowed to own and carry a firearm.
hell you can own a firearm and live on base. I did. I have competed in long and ultra long distance precision rifle as well as pistol for a long time and when I was living in the barracks I had to have my firearms locked up in the armory but I could check them out take them to competitions etc off base.
there is nothing that says he cannot have a firearm and be in the military. Just cannot CCW on base or open carry either.
Over here you can carry a folding knife with a blade length of less than 3 inches for general use.
A locking knife is considered a fixed blade however. What use is a knife that doesn't lock??
Yep - in Afghanistan we issued Applegate-Fairbairn Combat Folders (4.5" lock blade) to all the British guys in our group, but they couldn't take them home because of your knife laws. The Americans got to keep them - pretty cool.
