I got up early this morning and hit the road just to feel that cool crisp air that so many folks up north complain about called WINTER!
I got all leathered up and into the wind with the excitement of a three year old opening one special present on Chrstmas eve.
The first five miles were a blast! Then another three or so on the interstate and that little hole in my hat that I was wearing backwards started to feel like an icecube frozen to my forehead! I kept going another five miles down the road and pulled over to take a break. I turned around and came back home and heated up some chicken wings from the night before, I hit 'em with a little extra hot sauce and downed two beers. Can't remember the last time I had a beer before lunch...[8D]
I guess I'm spoiled because we get to ride so many days out of the year down here in the south. I have MUCH sympathy for my northern friends today.
haha..tell me bout it bro - I live in NC and it's really unseasonably cold here too...but you guys usually have it made - bet those northern rides are laughing it up and saying "welcome to my world.."
Yeah, I rode into work last nite and this morning I froze my a$$ off coming home! Had to stop for coffee just so I could feel my fingers again. Ha! I grew up in central Ill. and should have remembered just how cold that wind gets! Ed
How did you guess. Where's that idiot Al Gore when you need him. Global warming my azz, its cold out there.

Here in Denver we made 60 degrees today...couldn't drive home from work fast enough to get on the bike...got in about 30 miles before the sun dropped and the temp. went with it. Tommorrow's (saturdays) forcast...60 again![sm=happy046.gif]
