Default How warm before you ride?

How warm does it have to be before you consider taking your bike out for a joyride?

Joyride....My cut off is about 30* However, I'll ride well below that if I'm going on a trip. A couple of years ago, we left for Daytona at 17*. It was well below freezing for the first 3 hours....That Gerbings gear sure felt good.

I want it to be atleast 40. Anything less and that little stream of water I see across the road might not be water but rather ice and if it is, ouch!!!!

While there is verry little "joy" in riding below 30, I do. Especially if it is going to be warmer for the ride home.

For me it's got nothing to do with temp. The salt has to be off the road.
