I picked the bike up last Tuesday afternoon and I wasn't able to ride it Friday because it was way to cold. But between Tuesday and today I was able to get in 300 miles this week. My ability has improved tremendously over this last week I am much more comfortable and confident on the Road King now it handles like a dream.
Today I took the RK on the interstate for the first time and boy what a rush. I kept the bike in the right lane and did about 70 - 75 miles per hour. It was a little nerve racking at first specially when I was being passed by a semi truck, shakes the hell out of the bike. But, once I settled down it was a lot of fun and I noticed at that speed the bike is extremely reactive, you only need a very light touch on the handle bars to make it move.
That's a good looking RK...glad you're able to get in the wind with it. We've had GREAT weather here in Denver the past two days...I got close to 100 miles in between yesterday and today. Hopefully this high front we had will reach some of the other forum members but sadly I think it's over for us here in the Mile High...back to the big chill![:'(]
