Lots of interesting perspective here, some of it is crazy talk, iM a member of BWICMA, BLACKWATER INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR MOTORCYCLE ASSOCIATION. IF anyone has any legitimate questions please shoot them my way.
Probably not a "they" just a "he." Just like some guys have patches with "U.S. Army" on top and "Afghanistan" on the bottom and things like that. You can have them made in Afghanistan for about $10. The Afghans specialized in motorcycle/Harley stuff. I have Harley bar and Shield logo patches with my name in place of "Motor Cycles" and a jacket with a Harley "swept-wing" logo with the Afghan campaign ribbon and U.S. Army replacing the words.
Independent contractors date back to WWII, the Flying Tigers, you 'member them...?
Actually, they date back even further. There was the "Lafayette Escadrille" in WW1. You could also count the Hessian mercenaries hired by the Brits during the American revolution.

A lot of speculation and insults on this subject. Let me remind those with the insults that Blackwater was made up with military personnel looking for decent wages once they left the military. One of my three nephews, all marines, was one of them.
I've seen too many buttwipes with insults towards this country and our military. I have no patience, much less any political correctness for it.
