I know many of you hate the myrtle rally because the crap they pulled a few years ago, and as a part time North Myrtle Beach resident I think the city of MB sucks too. On the other hand I love the city of North Myrtle. Now the stupid owner of MB Harley is trying to change the dates of the rally to end on memorial day weekend (which as you probably know is black bike weekend). If you read between the lines in this article,
it sounds like they are trying to push the normal memorial day rally out. Not trying to bash anybody, but I've been there during both weekends in the past and can see why they want the second one gone, but how do you think this will work out with the these two groups all there at the same time? Sounds to me like a riot waiting to happen.
FMB......they lost alot of good riders and that isnt the only bike rally around.....there loss.....i will never go back, grows some ***** and get rid of the bike rally causing the problem....
I have 4 guys that ride with me and we each would spend atleast a grand at MBBW. That's not alot but when you figure most bikers spend grand during that week. That's quite a shot in the arm if Mytrle Beach's economy. That's a good idea. "Lets bite the hand that feeds us" I'm not going back. Like others have said plenty of other places to spend my hard earned money.
I was there in 95 when I was stationed in NC and i gotta say I didnt care for it. We never left the "Helldorado" Hotel for 4 days. ****in cops had the place surrounded in the middle of the night telling everybody if they didnt go inside they would be arrested. So much for enjoying our time there.
