No, he would never ride it, he knows better than that. Yea, keys will be hidden in a new place for just myself and my wife to know (in case something happens to me). I am going to change the oil just to be safe, pull the plugs and check them also.
Ahh, to be 19 again... Think I'll pass, LOL.
Remember doing something for my Dad on his 1957 BelAir. I'm 15, it was winter, fresh snow, can't see the driveway culvert. I needed the car turned around to get into the trunk. No problem; how hard is it to back down a 2-curve drive and turn around? Yep, off the drive, into the ditch, hung up on the culvert. Still wonder if I'd tried the maneuver if a couple of my buddies had not been there - probably not!
uhh kinda like running in parade mode when the ecm shuts down the back cylinders spark to cool the motor , the biggest worry I would have had would have been the plug wire causing a voltage spike to fry the ecm while it was unhooked.
Yea it's cool! We are laughing about it today (to a point...). He got the message, look all you want, but do not touch the bike unless I am there. He learned and I learned not to forget the keys on the work bench. He's a good kid and yea, he was just proud of his ole man's bike.
Gonna change the oil and plugs and be done with it....
My old Man used to string me up just for takin the cover off to show friends. Every time I did he noticed the very second he got home. Never could figure that out.
It could throw an engine code. I ran out of gas once and it through a code because the cpu could tell it wasn't firing like it was supposed to when it ran out of gas. If it happens just reset the code
