Chaps
intact and not worn off after being propelled through the air, rolling, flipping,
tumbling and sliding down the road until stopping. I'm a believer leather jackets and chaps increase the survival rate alot better than denim or a cool looking tee shirt. In the warm weather i still wear them and can take them off when i arrive to my destination, not to easy to do with the leather pants. Call me what ever you wish, and i'll say a prayer for you when you slide down the road without the leather

Were you wearing a helmet? If so, what brand and type? Thanks.
it was a 3/4 helmet after the accident with 4 wear holes on top and both sides with my hair showing, dont remember at what point the lower part of the full face was torn/smashed/wore off.witnesses told the police i dragged myself out of the oncoming traffic skidding around me,and then just stopped moving. Long story short 27 years later what do i do,i buy a harley, first bike since that accident,it's like i never got off one, except i drive alot slower now
Ya.......... this accident was in 1978 on a brand new stage 3 KZ900 ,young and bullet proof back then.I was wearing a helmet,a bell full face helmet,

So are you wearing a helmet now?

just make sure you get all the long frills and put frills on your bike, and get a villiage people cd, and put a sock in your crotch because it will still freeze in there buy some leather pants for a few bucks more and you won`t look like a cup cake, and you will have full warmth, and pertection and not all those sneers when people look back at you as your A### is hangin out

No,i'm not wearing a helmet now,i'm at home on the computer
typing this

might not be a bad idea though,my kids have been known to get abit wild and throw stuff aroundI always wear a helmet, leather jacket, gloves and chaps when i'm riding. It gets hot in the summer, but if i unzip the 4 vents in the coat it is rather comfortable while moving, not so if i have to stop and sit in traffic. I'm not required to wear a helmet here in NH,I do by my own choice and it seems more and more are as well.
