Wow it happens fast. Unfortunately I know the feeling after bouncing my helmet off an old ladies bumper about 3 years ago. Sold my Suzuki and bought a touring bike - WITH ABS.

Glad you're ok! Best wishes for a speedy recovery. Road rash is no fun, believe me I know. Don't listen to people who say don't cover it and let it dry out. Keep it covered and moist (neosporin with pain relief is good), and change the dressings daily and it will heal faster.

Your front end 'washed out?' Are you sure it wasn't your rear wheel locking up and sliding the bike sideways?

You don't want to go through that again, I'm sure. Glad to hear you're OK.

Hopefully you can find a good shop to do the repairs.

Maybe I guess. But It was like slow-mo as it was happening and I litterally watched that front tire wash out and my handlebars yank to the left.

anyone know where to get nice custom floorboards and shifter pegs/brake pedal? I have forwards and just did a search and they are about $800. I think with floorboards etc I can save some coin.

Good to hear that you are OK. This time of year up here there is lots of sand/gravel on the road and accidents like yours are a constant danger.
