Why the Vest?

Have an old denim jacket, just vut the sleeves and the collar off. Good for cell phone, and smokes. It's a PITA to stop at a red light and have to go through you pants pocket when you want a cigarette. I have my commando patch and my airborne and sniper badge on it. That's about it.

Love the vest. It adds a little extra to a t shirt. I had mine on Friday night when I was riding about 8:00/9:00 at night. But there are rules I use when wearing....... Definitely must have a t shirt or long sleeve shirt underneath. NO VEST ONLY!! and one mustn't ever wear a turtleneck with a vest!! LOL.

never thought about why nor really cared , had a denim cutoff in the 70's went heavy leather in the 80's and ever since . What I can you tell honestly is my heavy buffalo hide vest can and has turned a couple knife blades , fuc your ***** fashion statements and patch holders some of us wear them for real reasons .
How often are you being stabbed? I'd like to hear that story.

The leather one with various military patches and Patriot Guard "colors" goes on missions and veteran functions. The denim with the Mechanized Cavalry colors goes when riding with the Sons of Confederate Veterans. I have found the concealed carry T-shirt offered by Quartermaster solved that problem. A word of advice: if you find yourself surrounded by members of the local dominant MC club requesting you remove your colors respond with "no problem".
