Default Free 103" upgrade

Was at he dealer waiting for the parts guy to get off the phone. Started
chating with the salesman. I asked about the 103" upgrade free on the
'07 models "for a limited time". Was curious, so I asked what they were
asking for the 2-tone Softtail Hetitage classic. $22,500 was the answer.
I guess the 103" wasn't free after all. Jesus, thats $4000 for the upgrade.
What would that upgrade cost us coming in with a bike, $2500?

When I bought my 2007 Electra Glide Classic in August they said the 103 upgrade would cost me $1000 total. Don't know what your guy is talking about.

Not to mention why go 103" when you could go 110"

You do the 103 to get the performance you used to get on an 88 with a 95.

Now my brain hurts.

I have heard that the 103 on performance actually is better than the 110 kit ??? I heard orginally that on the new 07's you could do a bolt on 103 for $1200 total

Yup according to the HD site the stage 2 96" to 103" kitis $1200, including the AC and muffs. without the slip-ons its only $690

I know it's not impossible, but why would 103 give you better performance thatn 110. If everything is set up properly the 110 should be able to pump more air/fuel through and produce more power in the process.

Cost/HP it probably is better since it is significantly cheaper.

You hit it on the head. The biggest bang for the buck is the 103 just as the 95 was for the TC88. The extra labor to pull the motor and split the cases for the stroked crank kind of negates the added boost in performance.

But a properly built and tuned stoker (110 or older model 103) should give you more raw power than the Stage II (103 or older 95).

The 103 kit is a bolt-on upgrade. The 110 kit requires you bore the case.
IMO the 103 kit is the way to go (if staying w/ H-D parts) more bang for the buck.

I'm not aware of anything free at the steelers. Pretty sure that would go hand in hand with a cold day in hell.

Is opening the case required on a 2007 96" to go to 110"? It's not mentioned in the kit description:

Screamin' EagleÂŽ 110 Cubic Inch Stage I Kit for EFI Models

Bring your Twin Cam motorcycle up to the same displacement and power output as the CVO Screamin' EagleÂŽ models - a whopping 1800cc's. This 50-state street legal kit combines all the proven components of the '07 Screamin' EagleÂŽ models - the 4" big-bore cast pistons and cylinders, SE-255 camshafts, and cylinder heads with automatic compression release. The Screamin' EagleÂŽ cylinder heads and cast piston combination offer a 9.3:1 compression ratio for easy starting. The cylinder heads also prominently feature the "Screamin' EagleÂŽ" script. Kits includes all required gaskets (except primary cover) and hardware to complete the installation. EO Pending for '07 models. All models require ECM calibration. (priced separately)
