The WG front end is raked out more. They ride great and mine has proven to be very comfortable for long rides. I will by a 2nd next year myself and am leaning towards a RK.
Vrods tend to be quite popular in Europe but Iam more for the classic looks (Harley and radiator ? Iam not sure they fit together) of the 70s , 80s this is why I tend to like the Wide Glide .
By the way when comparing the specs of the Wide Glide and Softail Custom , the WG seems more bulky , longer than the custom - I would say its probably because of the thicker fork legs . What is your personal experience with both these bikes ?
Try the Harley Davidson website and check out the SuperGlide Custom - TheCustom version of the SuperGlide is loaded with classic looks without being over the top retro.... and it's as cool as they come.I seriously considered buying one....
RKH: As a suggestion only, consider one bike from each end of the H-D spectrum, i.e. Dyna & RK Custom.................. Or in my case Sportster Roadster and RK Classic. When I want to 'rip' around and flex the performance envelope, I ride the Roadster. When I want to enjoy the scenery, bring the wife, ride in a group, carry lots of gear, I ride the RK Classic. Best of both worlds IMHO. I really like both bikes for what they are. Given the chance to do it over, I might go with a V-Rod and a Road Glide, but I am really happy with what's in my garage. ................... BC
