This year I'm going to ride the phucking wheels off her! Last year was pretty bad because of the job loss thing. I don't think I put much more than a couple thousand miles on her! However this year if I want to ride 6 hours north to Jackson Hole for triple A batteries for my camera I will just damned well do that! Lol! I bought her to ride, not to look at!

I live ten miles north of Skyline Drive. It's a mess on weekends and not so good at midday during the week. So in the season I hit it between 6 and 7 AM and rip off 50 miles to Big Meadows for breakfast. Nothing like 500 mountain top turns before morning coffee. It's empty going down and only a couple of cars going home.

There is a show on our local PBS out of Nashville called "Tennessee Crossroads". They have three or four segments about places tucked away that you would probably never find without watching the show. One feature each week is usually a good diner somewhere off of the beaten path.
Watching the segments you will almost always see bikes in the shots. My wife and I are riding to one of the featured diners for lunch today.
Ride to eat, eat to ride. I like to eat.

I hear you. I probably should have left the McDonald's mention out of my post. I enjoy the 50 mile ride at 75 mph or so without a lot of traffic. More about the ride than the destination or food. Oh well.

. . but if we are talking burgers in your area, I like the El Reno onion burger places. Doesn't El Reno have an annual "onion burger day"?

Thats the perfect time to ride. Work doesnt get in the way then. You can also stop along the way get a job application, and then deduct those miles on your taxes.

Yes, California does export a lot of citrus fruit, avocados, dates and other fresh fruits, as well as almonds and lots of other nuts.
