Saddle Bag Ideas
I just sent my saddlebags to Osprey Saddlebags to be redone using the stock frame. I dont think the current stock bags w/ metal studs matches. Just thought I would see if anyone had any ideas for a custom look. I was thinking maybe on the flap cut squares out like a checkered flag and put a dark orange leather behing it showing through to match the paint-

When you say you'll redo the bags on the stock frame, do you mean you have quick detachables, you'llremove the leather from the backing and then craft new bags onto the backing? - I was thinking of doing that, as I think the HD detachables for the Bob are too small. I would like expandable bags, like what used to be on the Dyna Convertible.
In terms of colour, I like two tone bags - black and brown. or black and any other colour.

I sent the stock bags to Osprey, will let you know how they look and post pics. They are just removing the leather and putting new leather on the stock frame. I decided to put an orange checker theme, like the paint, on the flap of the bag.

Hey CI, do you mean Osprey Ltd of Holyoke Mass? David I think is the guys name........I used to rent a house from him about a dozen years ago or so..........his shop then was in Cummington in my back yard. Does exceptional work! Pretty good turn around too for hand made work! I think you'll like the quality. Pretty sure he can make em however you want, whatever colors/background etc, good luck!
