I didn't start the thread too clearly, probably because adrenalin was still rolling around my brain.
It was not a 180* approach, but about 10* off. The car moved quickly out of line like it was going to pass & hadn't gotten fully into my lane. When their headlight went by my left grip by inches, it was still angled toward my lane. It must have crossed my path just behind the rear tire.
Glad you're OK, but Dude, you tell a story like a woman!
Regardless, way to stay alert. I mean, I think you were being alert? I'm still not sure if you actually had to take evasive action or what in order to avoid the impact that was a sure thing that didn't happen...

I really don't know either. Usually those situations are remembered like a slow motion movie, but this one is only a still image: a black car with a prison bar chrome grill is there & then it's not. Like it happened with a strobe light.
The car came out of a line of oncoming traffic at 11 o'clock & about 2 dotted center lines ahead at highway speeds. 12 hours, a few beers & a bowl later, I imagine the car must have swerved away while I must have leaned away. Whether or not the bike turned, I do not know.
I do know that I screwed the Grim Reaper again. That bastard can't catch me!
