I'm Still Shaking
I'll probably be having nightmares of a black car with a large chrome grill in my face.
Traveling on a 2 lane 55mph stretch on my way to work, what was probably a Cadillac or Lincoln suddenly came out of a line of cars & was on a collision course only a few feet away. I don't know if I swerved before impact or not. It all seemed to happen within the time necessary to react. If I had been traveling 1 mph slower, I believe I would be dead right now.
I don't think the driver was texting or just inattentive. The car didn't drift; it darted at me. Maybe they spilled hot coffee on their lap.
I only hope it scared them as much as it did me, but I doubt it. They didn't know they were about to die.

glad you're good. thats why I don't ride to work. too many distracted, sleepy, hung over, preoccupied, in a hurry drivers out there not expecting a motorcycle to be up that early, or supposed to be there thing. I wait and ride the weekends, unless its a holiday and most workers are off

Glad you're OK. Cages are pretty fu88in' scary. Yesterday I was boxed in in the right lane (3 lanes) and the entrance lane to my right was ending soon, so of course I see a guy coming up the disappearing lane fast--- I knew I'd have nowhere to go so I laid on my horn and turned around to look right at him. He finally backed off at the last second. Even the other drivers around me were shaking their heads.
