The srevice manual not only has part numbers and detailed instructions on maintenance and repair, but also exploded views of the components...1 demerit for using "noob"
Do yourself a favor....Spend some Bucks on a HD service manual, and a HD parts manual. Those are well worth having. You may even be able to find them "used" on the Forums, or Ebay.
Best wishes....Tim(HT)

I have an 05 touring service manual and it does not have the part numbers at all...and 1 demerit for spelling service wrong.
HOLY CRAP!!!!! No part numbers? Well it has some part numbers. But if I was a mechanic, the only thing I would be able to say is "the part on page 3-42". The best thing about the "TOURING MODELS 2005 HARLEY-DAVIDSON SERVICE MANUAL" is the pictures...I like pictures.
Without the manual I would never have done any of my own service...and I only do the very basics...fluids, chain adjustment, lighting.

Agreed and I'm looking around for an 05 touring parts manual now. Found one on zip file but I'm more of a physical book guy with stuff like that.
