Default Riding (sun)glasses

Just curious to what all of you wear while riding.

My set up in pretty simple. Sunglasses during sunlight, clear lens safety glasses at night.

I also hear of something that changes as the light either comes or goes. The lens gets darker or brighter pending on sun light. I don't know if I'm imagining these or they're an actual product.

I think your talking about transition lenses. Some face shields come with it as well. Most dont think it gets dark enough.

You can get "Photo sensitive" glasses. they darken or lighten according to light conditions. I use safety lenses because I had a rock come through my shades once & I was a few weeks patched up while the bleeding went away.
Clear for night unless it's raining. Than I go to Yellow which kills the glare. their good on cloudy days too!
Hatch.

Humm...although I have good eyesight, I got pretty light sensitive eyes. Kinda disappointing to hear that.

GOOGLED a few of those lenses but couldn't find any solid reviews.

Anyone know of some transition lenses that get pretty dark during the day? Hopefully under $75.

Also I see some "night vision" lenses. Anyone know about these? I have to go through a game preserve to get to my house which bolsters a lot of deer during dusk so everything that helps me see at night would be great.

I wear the Crossfire brand from Brigade Quartermaster. They look good, come in grey, yellow, and clear, and are safety glasses too.

And, they're only 15 bucks each.

I carry a cheap pair of clear lens glasses in the bags for nights. Big thing to remember is that the road will destroy lenses, I get maybe a year before having to change them. Read the Oakley thread, also look at the Maui Jim's Stingrays in black(what I prefer).

I wear tinted during the day and clear at night. Then I carry my old set in my saddlebag just in case mine blow off on the highway (learned that the hard way).

As for the transition lenses another drawback I've heard from a few friends that wear them is that when it gets dark, they don't instantly go clear again so you could be riding for 10 or 15 minutes with sunglasses on in the dark. Not good in my opinion.

KD's are what I like to use. http://www.originalkds.com/ Dark tint for the day and clears at night. They sell for 6 dollars at the Harley shops around here. If i ride with a windshield they last a couple thousand highway miles but if I don't they only last about 500 miles. When it gets colder out, I go with the foldable goggles.

I just purchased some Wiley-X Airrage sunglasses from SafetyRX. I have mine made with progressive bi-focals and a new lense called "Drive Wear" It is basically a polarized transition lens. Only issue is that they DO NOT go completely clear. The Airrage frames are great as they come with eye cups to keep out wind and dust.

I have a pair if HD profile "goggles", they are photochomatic, so they get dark during the day when the sun is bright. My eyes have gotten more sensitive to bright light after years of wearing good sunglasses. They don't seem dark enough, but they work.
