Huh? What?
wear earplugs.......get used to them..... i use the soft rubber type with the plastic cord between them. the type one would tie to the hardhats. they be easier to find after pitstops. one can wash them also....
I ride with a half helmet most of the time so my ears are exposed to the wind all the time. The wind noise gets too loud and I find that when I stop for a break, my ears are ringing from the noise. I try to use earplugs but they are a pain in the a$$ most of the time. I do not want to go deaf so I and considering going with a full face helmet as they are pretty quiet. Just curious what others do to reduce the wind noise, if anything.
Depends on the earplugs. Surefire makes some that are comfortable for riding, and when I use my half helmet I use them. There are also custom earplugs made as well.
That being said on road trips I use my Modular helmet. It's a Schuberth C3 and the quietest helmet on the market for modulars.
Am I the only one to notice that if ear plugs are a pain in the a@# then you are putting them in the wrong place? LOL
Seriously - options are a FF, windshield, ear plugs (custom fit ones fit better, more comfy and work better but cost a lot more) or slow down and quit exposing your pits.
iPod did me no good. The wind at 70 drowned out my music real fast.
Cheap disposable ear plugs work best for me, I carry a small package of them in my tool pouch. One pair lasts me a day of riding. I usually remember I'm wearing them about the time I'm yelling at the waitress for a burger and a beer.

LMAO...You're right....I do need ear plugs in my *** cause I fart all the time. I'm known for it. Only problem with that is the pressure would build up until eventually I would fire them out of there with the pressure of a paintball gun and take someones eye out!
Been riding 50 yrs, listened to loud rock n roll, own many firearms, spent many years at the drag strip, worked for an electric utility for over 40 yrs listening to fused cutouts blow in the face.Yup, have a little ringing in the ears, only notice it when no other noises are present. Many years ago stopped worrying about a lot of things have loved life ever since.Do what you have to do to be comfortable in your own skin, tell everybody else to go pound sand.Good Luck and keep the rubber side down.
