The 07 heritage classic has msrp of 18.5k, they charged 17.5k. As you know 2-tone paint, security system, shipping and set up is all extra. Every thing seems to be extra. After purchased I received $1000.00 worth of coupons towards certain purchases- helmets, gloves, boots, option upgrades and crome, lots of crome. They also gave me a cert. for the first 1000 mile service. I thought it was a fair deal since I was ready to buy it at sticker price and they knew it. This was at Hannums HD, Media PA. They were nice to work with. Also free delv. was available and I live 125 miles away, but it was ona Saturday, and no delivery available until Monday, I would have never made it until Monday!
Are you saying that you bought a 2-tone Heritage Classic which has a MSRP of $18,455 for $17,500 or are you saying that you paid $17,500 plus extra for the paint etc. The base MSRP for a base black one is $17,820.
State make, model, parts you want installed, and any other requirement and I can make a more educated guess. On your side is the timing. Best time of the year to dicker is prolly January.
I was thinking about a Road King Classic. V&H BS Duals, SE A/C, V&H FuelPak, Detachable Tour Pak. Chrome front and rear foot boards, Passsenger back rest.
I went by a dealer last week that probably had over 80 new 07 bikes with 1,000 below msrp tags on them. This is in north Floirida where you ride all year especially winter months. I was told by a friend that HD is not shipping as much overseas because of the dollar exchange and sending more bikes to US dealers, I think that is why the dealers are starting to deal to get out from under the extra inventory. I'll bet you can make good deals in this area.
