I have been reading and searching throughout this forum to help narrow my search on the seat that may suit me the best. There has been many recommendations for Mustang, Corbin and C&C, but they have been followed by almost as many complaints.
I have a 2008 Fatboy. My trips are normally two hours. I find that my Sundowner seat gives me a sore tailbone (probably an inch further back would help) and I am planning on doing a longer tour this summer of five days with four to six hours riding per day.
In this poll please let me know which seat you like so that I can see which is the most popular.
My mustang seat put me farther back in the saddle whicheans I can now stretch right out on my highway pegs.
Mustang makes an amazing seat, they have adjustable backrests as well.
I just put the first 100 miles on a new C&C solo with backrest yesterday. This was a slow country cruise so I was probably in the saddle for 21/2 hours and it seems to be the perfect seat for me. I rode my buddy's RG with a Mustang for awhile as well and it was comfortable too, but a little softer. I'll know more with another 500 miles, but I'm optimistic about this setup. I was looking for a little more room, and the backrest made an amazing difference. No back pain or any soreness at all, either yesterday or this morning. That's my vote.."
I've had Mustang seats on 2 of my bikes and have done over 1000 miles in a day on both of them. The Mustang seat is very comfortable but I don't like how it sets me up farther. If I'm going on a very long ride then no question as to which seat I put on.
I leave the LePera Barebones seat on it about 99% of the time however as most of my rides are 200-300 miles. The Lepera seat sits me down lower and is the best looking seat out there for the Dyna anyways.
If someone could make a seat to look like the Lepera Barebones and sit you down low like it but with the comfort of the Mustang seat then they would have the ultimate seat.

My Seat is an old Mustang that I like well enough to have just paid a re-upholsterer a pretty decent wage to repair some tears, steam clean and restore the luster, and to install new studs onto the flap. This was in addition to me rebuilding the mounting connectors, polishing up the concho's and cutting out new replacement leather straps for the concho's.
All in all I probably have about 1/2 the cost of a decent replacement seat , plus several hours of my time invested into the project so I guess that I like the seat.
