I was in my truck behind four guys on Harleys at Roosevelt Lake this afternoon. These guys were holding up traffic by doing 40-45 in 55 zone for close to 20 miles and no way to pass because they were strung out and few passing areas. They either couldn't or wouldn't go the speed limit. Was it too much trouble to pull over and let faster traffic go by? And the guy in the back would slow down even more I guess just to **** us off. Just plain rude. And you wonder why some guys get blown off into the weeds.
Just goes to show you there are rude a-holes everywhere. My biggest pet peeve is those people who drive slow then speed up just when you get to a spot where you can pass.
Why wouldn't you pass them? Pull up behind the last guy, nice and tight. Blinker on then cruise by at the speed limit. They can't do much you're bigger than them. I guess I don't see the problem.
Reminds me of my good buddy that rides sportbikes.. He says that Harley guys commonly hold up dump trucks. I guess these idiots you speak of would do just that! Regardless what slow people are driving/riding....they should pull the hell over. I pull over for people all the time if I am hauling something and have to drive slow. I guess others don't have the same courtesy as me. On my bikes....I hold up no one!!
When I ride I do not hold up traffic unless they are going at least 20 over the speed limit 'cause I am usually doing that unless the limit is 70mph or higher, then I am about ten over.
However, I will not pull over for a gravel truck nor ride behind one. Sorry truckers but if your load is uncovered and you are speeding down the highway, screw you. You are not considering others and I am not giving you any consideration.
